Iaso Bodywork´s Story
Hi, I’m Jannett. I recently earned my certification in Therapeutic Massage from South Piedmont Community College and am licensed in North Carolina. Prior to choosing this career path, I worked in the financial industry for many years. Last year, I decided to take a 180-degree turn to pursue my true passion to become a massage therapist. I switched my focus from working with computers to working with people, traded analyzing data to assessing muscles and tissue, and moved from creating reports to developing treatment plans. It’s been a fascinating and awakening journey. I’ve realized that, just like computers need a periodic restart to function optimally, our nervous system also needs to be reset to function at its best. Stress and tension can build up and impact our endocrine system just as much as a computer crash.
Having spent all that time doing desk work, I had learned to live with the nagging pain and tension that posture can cause. But now, I understand how to treat the involved muscles in order to help correct that imbalance and provide relief.

My Approach
I believe the role of a massage therapist goes far beyond promoting relaxation. It is to be an integral part of a holistic wellness routine. My approach to bodywork is to use the appropriate tools and techniques to provide each client with the best treatment I can, always with compassion and respect.
